A3 The amount of fucoidan contained in one packet of UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan Powder Type is less than half that of one capsule of the Capsule Type. We recommend the Powder Type primarily for daily health maintenance and the Capsule Type to individuals concerned over health and lifestyle habits.

A4 UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan Drink Type is easy to drink and fast-acting, and offers 10 times the amount of fucoidan per bottle as the Capsule Type (2,125mg vs 212.5mg). In addition, the Drink Type can be easily taken by individuals who dislike or have difficulty taking capsules.

A5 UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan is a health food developed for health support; UMI NO SHIZUKU Essential Nutrition is a health food developed with a focus on supplementing nutrition. They are created to enhance the effects of fucoidan when taken together.

A6 UMI NO SHIZUKU Essential Nutrition does not contain fucoidan. Essential Nutrition contains enzymes, essential amino acids, vitamins, and more that are required to supplement health.

A7 Fucoidan is found naturally in a high molecular state with many bound sugars. When made into a low molecular state, the properties of fucoidan change. In order for fucoidan to exert its innate abilities, it is important that it have high molecular weight. The quality standards for fucoidan foods established by the Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association require that fucoidan have high molecular weight. UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan uses only high molecular weight fucoidan that promises to deliver the original capabilities of fucoidan.

A8 Fucoidan is a naturally-derived food product made from seaweeds such as mozuku and mekabu, and is devised to be taken easily every day. As it is a food product, there is no concern over side effects.

A9 It is possible to ingest fucoidan by eating seaweeds, but extracting high-grade fucoidan is an extremely difficult task. It is a rare ingredient with a yield of less than 1% even when extracted from fucoidan-rich mozuku.

A10 Iodine is a nutrient contained in large amounts in seaweeds. UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan contains trace amounts of iodine. The amount presents no health concerns at all. For the Capsule Type, 300 or more capsules per day would have to be ingested to exceed tolerance limits. The Drink Type contains almost no iodine and can be used without concern.
